A great many years ago, when churches like this were the norm, snowy Sunday mornings entailed a lot of work. Get up, add wood to the stove, put on the coffee pot, clean up, get dressed, go to the barn to take care of the animals, hitch up the horse, get the family into the buggy, and of course, the 4 or 5 mile ride to get to church.
Today, we view these old churches with a bit of nostalgia for the “good old days”. A time when things were simpler and less complicated. A time without our IPhones, computers, automobiles, and let us not forget, central heating & indoor plumbing. Ahh, the good old days…….. Let’s just enjoy the view and a little nostalgia before we get in our cars and go home to our comforts.

Steve.
It looks like the new lens is working out for you.
I think sometimes we remember “the good old days” with our “mind filters” set on only the good times we had way back then.
Would any of us really want to go back, if we could, to relive the hard times?
The comforts of today would be hard to trade for the hardships of yesterday.
So we go forward living in the moment and that is a good thing.
