Autumn Trail

This is the autumn segment of a “4 Seasons” series that I have done of this scene. It has only taken 6 years to get all the photos which is not bad for this type of photography. “Autumn”, this segment,  was the last one to be done. Lighting and fall color are so variable that to achieve the look I wanted took many return visits.

    Steve,
Six years seems like a long time to get a series of photographs.
I have been taking photos for the last ten years, of the demise of a once thriving city in west central ohio, so i suppose six years is not that long after all in the realm of
    changing scenes.

      Charles,
Six years is not that bad when you have to make a long trip to make an image. You take your chances on light, fall color, what has happened to the scene since you were there last, and, of course, the weather. It takes a lot less time when you do not have a specific idea in mind but when you want them to tell a story as a group it must look right. That takes longer.
